Marriage & Family Counseling
For the past twelve years, my education and my job experience has centered on the clinical treatment of Couples, children, and families. My area of expertise, in which I have been focusing my professional development for the past three years, is Marriage & Family Therapy. The majority of my experience has been with families either going through a crisis or couples who need an objective facilitator to assist in working through problems, both past & present. I have experience in a wide variety of settings including private practice, outpatient clinics, residential programs, schools, therapeutic care centers, and homes.
What kind of clients do you typically see?
I see many different clients but the following are clients whose needs match my area of expertise:
- New parents of any type: biological, adoptive, foster, GLBTQ, teenage
- Mother-infant or caregiver-infant pairs who may be struggling with attachment and bonding
- Families of children with special needs
- GLBTQ youth and their families
Parenting can be a rich and rewarding experience, but it can also be difficult and at times overwhelming. I have experience working with parents from all walks of life who are in need of extra support during particularly challenging moments on their parenting journey.
