Q: What do I have to do in order for therapy to be successful?

A: Very important question. You must take an active part in YOUR treatment. We will discuss thoughts and behaviors that may need to change. Therapy calls for a very active effort on you and/or your family’s part in working towards identified goals. In order for therapy to be successful, it is important for you and/or your child/adolescent to be open to change and to be honest about life history, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This means coming to all scheduled sessions, participating in all scheduled sessions, and working on goals between sessions, including taking part in homework assignments.
